I recently bought a copy of "The Chess Players Bible" I forget who wrote it but I like it. The images are clear and all the tips are given using a kind nifty chess board drawing but easily the best part is the way that the book is bound, it's like a spiral binder so you can lay it flat on the table without losing your place. Alot of the tactics and strategies given are kind of basic and I wish that the chapters were orginized a little better but there's some good stuff, I'm really digging the section on pawn structure and strategy since that and the endgame are easily what I'm worse at. I never know what to do with those pesky pawns...
*edit* I just checked Amazon and the book was written by James Eade. *edit*
I recently bought a copy of "The Complete Idiot's Guide To Chess" by Patrick Wolff as a good way to refresh myself on the basics.
Can anyone recommend any other chess books which are appropriate for beginners?
Thank you!
