Book: Grandmaster Chess Strategy

Thanks to Iryna Zenyuk's article last week I got this book in the mail this week and have gone through 4 games so far.

What amateurs can learn from Ulf Andersson's positional Masterpieces.

Each game that I've gone through has taught me a lesson or two.  I am really enjoying this book and what really excites me is the fact that I've just begun to read it and there is so much material to look forward too.  I take the games from chessgames.com and use chessbase.  I then use the book to insert the variations and comments where necessary.  Although the book is about the middle and endgame, It also introduced me to a couple of new openings that I was not into yet.

I would put this book as one of my favorites if not my favorite right now.

Leaving aside the matter of whether strategy actually exists Undecided, your way of working sounds really good - i.e. inserting variations and comments to facilitate learning. Glad you're having fun!
