Let this be a warning to the rest of us. :D Don't play chess with Lego pieces; if you do, don't throw them unless you're ready to unexpectedly step on them during the night. :D

Reminds me of a story my grandfather told me. Back in the day of one room schoolhouses he got the idea of filling the bell (one of those old hand bells with the long handle) with beans. When the teacher picked it up the next day to ring it beans went flying all over the room. She or he made my grandfather go all around the room and kneel on every single bean.
His "friend" ratted on him.

From a book I have titled; The World of Chess.
"The inevitable paradox of chess persist. It presents a peaceful image, two players quietly hunched over a chess board. But the game is warlike, and the image of chess players is not always peaceful. A certain Duke of Burgundy became so enraged during a game that he picked up a solid gold king and struck and killed his opponent. He was condemned to be hanged. While awaiting his execution, he played a game with his jailer and crowned him too. Pieces had considerable weight in medieval times.
Later a nobleman equal in rank to the Duke visited the prison to play against him. They were quite engaged when the hangman and two guards injudiciously attempted to lay hands on him whereupon "enraged, he did slay one guard with his bishop, the other guard with his knight, and with his king he slew the hangman" Following witch, the worthy Duke quietly sat down to finish his game."
I must say I admire that man's dedication.

hmmm..... one man's dedication is another man's psychopathy...
what is the worst thing that ever happened to a chess piece or a board like if you dropped a glass chess set or threw a piece in frustration and hit you and you went to the hospital?
