iPhoners,
Chess Arsenal is free for the duration of the 2014 World Chess Championship!
Get it in the App Store, free until Nov. 25:

For the uninitiated, Arsenal is your go-to app for managing and learning your openings. It takes some research to enter your lines (mastering an opening isn't easy, a'ight?). Then comes the fun part: you'll be shown positions from your openings and asked to play your planned move. Questions giving you a hard time are shown more often.
A word of warning: no openings are included and you have to enter your own lines. Openings are personal and I believe variations apply maximal pressure to your opponents for strong, practical tournament results. This is especially true if you repeatedly play the same club regulars. The point is that what's in the app reflects what you realistically expect to actually know. My advice is to not enter 25 moves of the Sicilian Najdorf if you're currently struggling with ideas on move 7. Build up to it!
I hope you enjoy and benefit from the app!
