Are there any Chessbase quality databases for Macintosh?

Are you talking about a software application or the actual game collection? I sort of assume it's the former, since the latter would just be whatever you can get in PGN, right?

I use ExaChess - and although it's slightly in need of an update for OSX Lion - I've always liked it better than ChessBase. My needs are perhaps not as sophisticated as some. :)

I'm looking for a combination. Lots of games would be helpful, but I really would like a nice interface for the database. For example, Shredder looks too pixelated. I want something crisp and smooth, like the Fritz interface, but for mac.

Im not so familiar with the format lingo. I am looking to play video lessons purchased from chessbase on my new macbook. chessbase is only for windows. Is there a compatable software that can run chessbase products? Im looking for something other that running paralles and windows on my mac.
