one of the best book of fiction about chess i have ever read

I don't want to spoil it for anybody! I think I read a borrowed copy a good few years back.

Is that the one about the young woman following clues based on a chess theme on a quest for the elixier of life?

A weighty tome if I remember. I agree with Alex, it is a very good read.
