Chess Fundamentals

Hey,

I am a middle range (1650) ranked player on chess.com and played a fair amount of games. However, even though I think I know the game I've never ever taken any lessons or read any books. What book out there would you advise me to read to get a solid understanding of the fundamentals in chess.

Cheers.

I have that exact book, and this translation and printing from Quality Chess is the best version on the market.

You might want to check this out also. It's a little bit easier to read/understand than My System. Both great books! Good luck.
