Is it plastic or wood pieces? Kinda sounds like a Drueke set.

Sorry, just came back to put that information - forgot. They were plastic, and I thought there was a number like 72, 17, 24, 27, those are guesses.
Also, if I remember correctly, the pieces were not shining, kind of dull.

Trying to remember a chess set from about 20-25 years ago. It had stubby type pieces with a kind of wide base, and I think it was a little heavier then weighted - maybe 1.5, as compared to double.
Can anyone give me a model and maker?
