Chessmaster on tablet

Hey everyone,

I love playing Chessmaster GE on my laptop (games + analysis + tutorials). Is there any way to be able to play on a tablet? Would love to play in bed (without having to disconnect my laptop) or while on lunch at work.

Thanks

Unless you have a tablet running Windows, one way is to "remote desktop connect" (RDC) to your PC. I'm guessing this is what you're asking?

On iOS - and I'm sure Android - there are plenty of free clients that let you connect to your PC then see and control the desktop. I've run chessbase stuff via my iPad this way. Mind you the version of Windows on your PC needs to support this - one way Microsoft gets you to spend more on e.g. "enterprise" versions of their OS.

An alternative to RDC is to install a VNC server on your PC, then a VNC client on your tablet. Over a local network both VNC and RDC work very well.

Watching a video however is more sketchy, but just games, analysis etc works very well. The less screen updates the better it works.

Thank you. I don't know much about RDCs and VNCs so I'll have to research them. I appreciate your help.
