ChessUp vs Square Off

I was looking at echess boards since I like physical chess board but it is so hard to find someone at my level. The two best ones I found were ChessUp 2 and Square Off. These two seem like the biggest and most trusted echess and I would like to know which one would you consider better

If it is between those two, Chessup2 by far.

SquareOff is not a "trusted echess" brand at all.

Also look at Chessnut. The Air is a nice board, a little smaller than a Chessup2 but still very usable.

Chessup2 is a little larger but is still working out some software issues. Still a very good board.

What do you guys think ?

I like the idea; it looks like it can use any set?

Like all self-moving sets/systems a lot will depend on how fast and accurate it will be.

That looks like a lot of bleeding edge tech (if it is actually real), maybe a bit too much for me at this point.

That is very expensive

Then would you say chess nut is better or chess up

They are both very good.

The Chessup 2 software/firmware is still being worked on, but it plays a good game. The built in connection is pretty stable for chess.com right now. It is a very light board and can be easily carried around.

The Chessnut Air is a little smaller but weights a little bit more. it can also be easily carried around.

Both can be used with the Chessconnect extension on either site.

It is really up to you as what you are looking for. I would recommend either board.

If you like open-protocol chessboards, check out the Tabutronic Cerno (the one with electronic chips):

https://tabutronic.com/product-category/cerno/cerno-chessboards/

The new Cerno/Spectrum (yet to be released) has programmable LEDs:

Nowak's BearChess supports Tabutronics and Certabos (same protocol), you can get hints and the board is able to show possible and best moves and allow subsequent corrections for beginners:
