Here are some pictures of three BCE S1 sets:

  • NOJ BCE S1 in black with blue leather option (owned by my friend Phil).
  • NOJ BCE S1 in red with S2 knight and kingside stamping options.
  • BCE Tournament Set made in India.

The board is a BCE modular magnetic printed prototype. First, three shots of Phil's NOJ set on the BCE board.

What is the maker of this set?

NOJ of Slovenia and Bestchessmenever.com, aka Ifekali, through whom you can order the Tournament or NOJ pieces.

Thanks for the great pics cgrau.! The pieces & board look great to me. I am starting to think outside the box. Going to place an order with Jonas Monday.

Very interesting, cgrau. There seems to be a surprising amount of small differences to the proportions of the pieces between the Indian made "tournament" pieces and the Noj. Also, the knights nose and eyes are quite different and the Indian rook seems to show some shoddy finish in the turret. But these things are of course to be expected, considering the difference in price.

Thanks for the extensive photos, nice to see this great design get more exposure!
