I would like to rate and rank the chess e-boards from my long experience so far.
Chessnut Pro>Square-off Pro>Revelation II > Millenium Genius Exclusive>Chessnut Evo> Chessnut Air>Chessup2> DGT e-board> Pegasus> Chessup 1

All of these e-boards except DGT-eboard (only DGT pegasus is available) have their own exclusive apps available in IOS and Google store.

Let me askSpanishStallion do you own all those ranked eboards? If not what is the basis for your opinions?

Chessup is autonom. Chessnut Evo is the only one autonom.

You can't compare Chessup to Chessnut e boards.

I have a Chessup 2 and a Chessnut Go.

The Chessnut Go drives me crazy at the end. I have two tablets (ASUS and Blackview) and The BLE does not connect to these.

Chessnut has two app "Chessnut" and "Chessnut Android". The Chessnut Go BLE connects only with the Chessnut App and not the Chessnut Android app which is the brand new one.

That's with my Honor phone.

So i have to use and old Motorola phone and check that the battery is always charged...

I'm done with Chessnut.

I have no issue with Chessup. Just power on. I'm using the assistant as a coach and that's very useful for training. It's bigger and more pleasant to play.

I play on my sofa in front of my TV with the Chessup 2 and unfortunatly it is not magnetic that's all i miss.

I like it more and more day after day.

The Milennium King Performance can be used as an 'e-board' with the Chesslink (additional unit). As it is a pressure sensor board you do have to be careful though and it's really hard to 'keep up' on fast games. Best used on slower time controls really.

It isn't likely a competitor to the mentioned boards really. It is more of a stand alone chess computer that can also be used on line. It is a very good standalone chess computer though! I've had mine since 2020 - still going strong! Sure, the ones that use mobilephones and online engines are more powerful (they would be) but I still cant beat it at it's max strength over 2530ish - so such considerations are academic.

I have all of these e-boards plus dozens more. The basis of my assessment of these e-boards is my extensive daily experience and their functionality and performance.

Why, SpanishStallion is the chessup2 so low on your ranking?

And Phantom chess board?

If you compare the online response speed of chessnut pro and chessnut evo with that of chessup 2 you’ll see for yourself why it ranks lower. Also, one good suggestion for chessup company is to try to produce boards which are larger in size like 5 cm square and improve the speed of the board’s response for online chess.

Thanks SpanishStallion for the useful info.

That's ridiculus. EBoards are just controllers, they send and receive datas.

There is no delay except the one due to the network.

By the way SpanishStallion, i checked your games and it seems that you are a cheater.

You play most of your games at 66% than sometimes at 92%.

It looks like you are using Chessup assistant or another assistant to help you on these games.

I'm a beginner, i play at 66 and there is no way i play suddenly at 92. lol

Discussions about cheating, potential cheating, or cheat detection are not allowed in the general forums!

Feel we need to clear some things up with ChessUp 2. ^this is nonsense about the response time and actually backwards. Also the rankings listed in the initial post are not at all reflective of reviews, features, and popularity of these boards.
ChessUp 2 is the fastest response board. It is the only board with touch sense which allows it to lock in the move the instant the player releases. All other boards have to code in a delay. Other boards also misrecognize moves if the player hesitates or slides a piece. ChessUp 2 with touch sense + piece ID handles perfectly on moves regardless of slides or pauses.
ChessUp 2 is also larger playing area than evo. Evo is 11" x 11". ChessUp 2 is 12" x 12". ChessUp 2 is also the most popular out of all of those boards.
And to clarify, SpanishStallion account has never played a game on a chessup so his accuracy on any particular game is not related to our product. Plus the ChessUp 2 assistance feature is not on during chess.com play. That is a mode for training, not online play.
Anyways - glad you are into smart chess board SpanishStallion. If you are happy with the square off board you have, that is great. OTB and online together are fantastic.
However, none of the facts about these competing boards (including ChessUp 2) are accurate. So I just want to correct those.
