Custom Wood Chess Board with Custom Metal Pieces

Why wouldn't you want that to show?! That so coool!
How much does a guy have to spend to get a board similar to that, goldendog? Do you have one?
What about mortise and tenon joint interlocking squares? Does anybody make a board like that?
So far as I know, Decristoforo is the only one who does this on his boards.
The model I showed was a HOS model for awhile but they stopped being carried, Reason unknown.
I think it was about a $300 board back then (2004?). Worth it I think. I'm a fan of simple framing, and the squares are pretty but not distractingly so. A good board for me.

I think that's just space. He had a little article on the web re how and why of joining wood this way was necessary for "permanent" squares that won't move and split.
Don't ask me though. My expertise is mainly moving chess pieces on the things. I'll say this, I've had an ANRI board for 40 years; it surely wasn't specially jointed and it's been perfectly stable. Maybe the Burma teak/maple was well-cured, and that has helped.

If I decide I want to go for it, I'll def keep you in mind.

For $120, I think I'd go for this board/storage. And, it is not so freakishly high:

Quality doesn't necessarily cost money.

@kuko92, excellent work by you.
I don't have any marketing background but your product is the high end kinda thing and I feel that maybe you should try selling it to chess grandmasters. Just a thought.
All the best to you,
thanks,

I don't know, if your looking to get the price your asking you'll probably want to target people who've made a more lucrative career choice than chess....
