Domination in 2,545 Endgame Studies by Ghenrikh Kasparyan

This is a great book that will serve the serious player for many, many years it's divided in artistic endgames and analytic endgames that occur in actual games the major theme of the book is "dominating" opponents pieces or trapping them. I work with this book and train with it at home with a clock and set the studies are tough.

The book is in descriptive otation that's a non issue for me but it could be for other players the diagrams in the book are the old style.

Anyway that aside I recommend it worth it's weight in gold over those useless opening books they charge $35 for

An International Master I knew thought that this was one of the most important books ever written for chess.

No one plumbed the depths of chess like the Soviet chessplayers. For them, it was art, science and sport. There are so many good Soviet books on chess which make a lot of western books seem rather trivial by comparison.
