Recommendations please for books on the endgame for someone starting out? Sub 1200 rating. Any opinions on Understanding Chess Endgames by John Nunn? Cheers!

Silman's complete endgame book is rather good. The chapters are organised per rating level so you can progress through it as your rating and understanding increases.

People go gaga over Silman but I would recommend the rather underrated 'How to Play Chess Endings' by Eugene Znosko-Borovsky.
