Nice pics as always, chuck! I've always been a fan of the knights in these older sets. Also I never knew that they were unweighted for that reason - guess all the lead was being sent overseas to fill the M1s ;) Great set!

Very nice set up. I have an older Drueke as well and I love that "golden oldie" look.

Thanks, Ron!

Thrilling sets of yesteryear . I wonder how many great sets are wasting away in closets unloved?

Many thanks, Ron. That's why I put up the shelves and populated them.

Many thanks! Only the wartime Pinneys were unweighted. Those before and after the war were weighted.

I love Drueke boards, they are my favorite. I am jealous every time I see one of your posts too. Great looking set and board, as usual.

I don't have much of an appreciation for classic sets, but this one is beautiful.

Another great find, Chuck! And in such fine shape. It's like you've stepped back 75 years in time. Congrats.

Thanks Chuck for the great pics of your vintage "Liberty" Pinney and Drueke board... a wonderful combination! And yes your chess room is a museum, congrats and thanks for showning us the many historic and significant sets displayed there.

Yes, I agree. I may start looking at garage sales whenever I see them to try and find little treasures. That and flea markets.
