I have some older Fritztrainer DVDs that I wanted to go over on my iPad. I know that Chessbase is Windows only, and also DVDs after around 2019 are available to stream from the chessbase.com site. My DVDs are older than 2019, so cannot be streamed from their site.
And my main system is a Mac, so I have some obstacles in trying to play these older DVDs.
I see that I can view the mp4 video files, but not the text or moves. I've played a little with Wine emulation under Mac but it's not as smooth as I'd like. I also installed VMWare, and it's workable but not ideal.
I wanted to see if anyone has some creative ways to view the fritztrainer programs, especially from the iPad (stripping the pgn, text, and videos to be viewable).
