@Kimk10 If the question is for me, then my answer is it is still outside my comfort level. I think my Noj 1950 set is the max for now. I don't think I would feel comfortable even spending that much again for the time-being. The Oleg 9 cm set is significantly more than the Noj set... almost double if not more depending upon options. However, I would say I never thought I would buy the Noj set so who knows. I put the Oleg 9 cm set on my "one day" list. We'll see.
I inherited a partial nude Opposition 1/2 chess set, that I believe is a Railkis design. I would like to explore adding pieces to complete the set. I looked on the Railkis site and sent an email but have not had a response. Does anyone know where I might find replacement pieces. Thanks
I would love to own the 9 cm set from Oleg. The 9 cm is the first photo posted by the OP. It is outside my comfort level money-wise for a set. It is a maybe one-day set for me. For any who already own this set or will order this set, all I have to say is MAN! I wish I were you.
