[HELP] Identifying chess set

Hi chessetslovers

I recently saw a chess set at an auction. The price is quite affordable so I'm considering trying to bid or purchase it as a present for a friend.

Although I know that is not a "luxury" set, I'm interested if possible in knowing the source as the style is Staunton and seems a Jaques reproduction similar to others that I saw on webshops.

Had somebody any clue of who can be the manufacturer of this set?

Knights look very bulky, and the bishop's heads are more "squared" than other common sets. Btw, the bases for the pieces look familiar to me, but I'm not sure who can be the carver of those. About the wood, not sure which type is it, Padauk? Rosewood?

Thanks in advance.

I’m not sure. The only thing I could think of was a BCC set. I’m pretty sure it is not a BCC set but it has a similar vibe to it. Maybe someone else knows.
