And you have the real classic vintage Drueke (JLP is a Drueke like, but still very good).
By the way, I have a question about your padauk (blood rosewood): mine looks less dark and more reddish (yours looks like the red santalwood).
And has it become darker over time?
Finally, did you have oxidation problem with the Padauk (i.e like some white dust???)

Indeed IMHO the Collectors series are very classic, simple and beautiful, and yet remains "playable".
Your set looks like my red sandalwood (unfortunately red sandalwood is now "banned" by government), but I think it is actually Padauk since you get white dust on it (I've never noticed it with my red sandalwood, bought in 2010).
My new 3.75 blood rosewwod "Padauk" set is still dust free since I just got it!!! But I expect to see the problem in the future. I don't mind, I love it!!!
Both of you folks in the last couple of posts have amazingly beautiful sets & boards.I have the JLP 21 Player's Choice board as well and I owe my becoming aware of it to MCH!
As for the white powder...It's commonly found on sets made of Padauk....I have a few sets that occasionally develop this...No biggie....A nice/soft make up brush does the trick.
Take my advice....buy the brush,instead of stealing it from the wife.
