Here's how it is supposed to look.

Now. "Let me count the ways" that it can be messed up.

Dammit. The Chinese should know better. The real Chinese.

Edit.

This is not bad. The Blue is correct. The Red can be figurine. Something old and something new.

The red pawns are the wrong color.

That is the blue pawn.

This is the red pawn:

Same here.

The Red pieces, Cannon, Chariot, Knight are not the same as Blue.

The Advisers are swapped.

Combinations of errors.

Basically, colors flipped. And symmetry of pieces as opposed to the correct asymmetry.

There are no

Elephants: 象

Only Bishops: 相

Why is this?

The Chinese have become illiterate.

They are forgetting their own history.

Advisors are not supposed to be symmetrical.

I can't believe this. I looked in all of Ebay, and I cannot find a correct Chinese Chess set.

I finally found it. It is not perfect perfect. It is perfect enough.

The "Blue" (black) Cannon is 包.

That is a variant. And I have seen it in my childhood. The set is exactly as i remembered it some 40 years ago.

I bought it once on Amazon. It is sold out. I used Google image search and found it on Ebay.

Finally, I can re-create my childhood in real life.
