Chess Set Identification

Hello,

Im new to chess and found a set id like to start playing with but the queen is missing a piece and i was wondering if anyone could help me identify the set so i could find my missing part. Its brass and pretty heavy with no markings i can see. Ive been looking online to try to find something similar that might yield some results but ive had no luck. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Have u tried google? I mean reverse image lookup, uploading different images with your queen or more pieces and with luck you find similar images with the bronze and silver touch and same shape.

I haven't tried a reverse image search, I didn't think it would work but I'll give it a shot. Thank you

The ball on top of both queens consist of a two piece system where one piece screws into the ball and then they both screw into the queen so it would have to be custom made which would probably cost more than the set is worth. I also tried reverse image searching the queen and kind by themselves and together and found nothing that was close. I appreciate the suggestions though, thank you.

That's a gorgeous set. And I would still try a machine shop. Can't hurt to just ask for a price estimate. And if you're willing, instead of custom molding the screw (if nothing standard will fit it), they could fill the screw hole with metal or resin and weld the ball on top. But I don't think reverse image will help since it's a photo you took.

Where did you get the set? Could you ask the seller if they know? Are there any markings on the pieces or board which could give you some clues? It really is a beautiful set and even if it costs more than the set to fix the queen, I would do it.

Bruh just take an airsoft bb and paint it gold or make a ball out of caulking and paint it gold and glue it on

PS your board is set up wrong

Try to make the missing part from wood and paint it. Life's good.

Or break the other one off #symmetry

I got it from a second hand store and they just knew it was metal but i'm pretty sure its brass since its not magnetic. I've looked on a few of the pieces for a makers mark or any mark of some kind but i haven't seen any. I've checked the board and there isn't anything there. Are there specific pieces marks are normally on? I'm only into the whole thing for $40 so i guess even the cost of the set for the part isn't terrible. I'm still curious about who made it though, I can see the lathe marks so quite a bit of time went into it.
