some programs/updates require a restart in order for the install to be completed....

If it keeps happening I was told to re-install it in safe mode because anti-virus/malware software could be interfering with the proper installation of Fritz. I haven't bought it myself; this is only what I have heard from others.

Many software programs such as Fritz that "phone home" to check for updates and verify authenticity need to be installed with full computer access. If you have a PC with Windows operating system as I do, install programs you trust by turning off all anti-virus programs (after you have run the install program through the anti-virus check). Then right click on the .exe or .msi install program and Run as Administrator. I always reboot the computer after an installation. That should turn all your AV program protection back on while allowing the new program to install "under the radar."
