I'm thinking of buying some of Lev Alburt's books I saw at a local used book store. Does anyone have any experience with these and how good they help? Thanks.

P.S. I'm a pretty weak player. I just know how the pieces move and am still trying to figure out how to learn to plan. Is planning the same as strategy?

Alburt's books are ok.

I got them. I have the comprehensive chess course1&2, chess tactics, king in jeopady, chess strategy and just the facts books. Now I have to knuckle down and start using them. I saw a few others in the titled series but I think I have enough to give me a headache already. lol. Thanks for the adviceSmile
