Looks like they’re all non-folding boards. I sent them an email seeing if they could track one down for me. I really like these smaller heavily weighted HOS Marshall Series pieces, but may have to return them if I can’t find a board. Thanks again.
need to search for 45mm if you want european sizes which 1.75 is.

Appreciate it thanks. I’m not a fan of vinyl boards, but appreciate the info on the 45mm squares, I should have figured that obvious detail out. I’ll see if I can find a folding board or a mousepad / silicone / flex board in that size. Thanks again.
Another option you might not have considered is a 4 piece board held together with magnets. It breaks apart into 4, 4x4 squares, so each piece ( with 1.75" squares) would only be 7" by 7". Colorado woodworker calls them his Tower series boards, shown here:

I know I sound like an ad for this guy, but I'm not. I have one of his boards and I have met him. He does good work and is a nice guy. That's all.

That's a pretty good board. Acquired one last year with 2.25" squares. Same woods and I had Brad construct a sliding storage case for me as well. The man knows his craft!
Thanks everyone for the great ideas! I didn’t know he made a 4-piece board. (The only one like that I had seen was the Stack board, which I believe is at Chess House.). I’ll check it out. Thanks again.
Thanks, appreciate the info. I have one nice leather board, but it’s very small with 1.25” squares. With the right pieces leather looks great.
I make chessboards as well. I have several 2-piece magnetically held boards for situations like yours, or where folks do not have room for a board set up at all times. The squares are 2” for the ones I have made to date. I could make a board with 1.75” squares as well.

filter on chessboards.
While we are talking chess boards, I am looking for a specific one also. There was a small (10") folding linen board with green and buff squares that was sold with the mini Drueke Players Choice style set (2 1/2" King). I had one but it got damaged and I have yet to locate another. Many of these sets were sold in boxes with a rigid wooden board (Drueke Chess Primer sets) but the folding linen board is much more suitable for travel with this analysis size set. Any leads on obtaining one of these would be appreciated.
I’ve checked Chess House, Chess Store, HOS, and a few others, but no luck as yet. Thanks for any info!
