I did a web search of "supposed similar quality" Italian platform boards,at a lower price than the gorgeous MTM boards and found nothing it their class! Personally, I find the asking prices very fair.

None seem to be in the class of the MTM's though and I "have" done a search.Some are pretty nice,but no cigar! Actually,my 21" Sheesham platform board from(dare I say it?) Chessbazaar is a beauty and well made/finished.I got a great buy on it last year......Still,as of now,if I add anymore boards it would definitely be an MTM! It would go nicely with a good NOJ set...Both top level products.
