New: DGT for Chess.com macOS App (unofficial)

I have the same problem here. I have a DGT Bluetooth board, and macOS Big Sur 11.2.
Connecting the board is ok, but then I have a CONNECTED but  "out of sync" when starting a new game (against computer).

To make it work I had to use DGT Livechess connection instead of the embedded one.

I did have a problem when I castled (king's side) on some games: it was considered as a rook only move, and my king ended up in the middle, with my rook still on the side, but moved.

Also I'm not sure how it behaves when I make an illegal move. (it doesn't seem easy to make the app understand I took back my move and made another one).

I also didn't have moves announcement anymore at some point.
Finally I'm not clear either on how to finish a game. If I give up the game and start replacing my pieces on my board, I'll hear 50 "illegal move" at the same time. How can I tell your app that I quit the game on chess.com ?

I think what's missing here is maybe a kind of debug console that would allow me to reset the app or see it the app and the chess.com board are in sync or not, and manually resync if needed.

To me the best way, is still that Chess.com will allow "Acid Ape Chess" app to play on their app.... I love it, it works perfectly, no delay, the only thing is that you gotta play on lichess... 

To be honest the point of a DGT board is mobility + connectivity - so it is better to develop the app for iOS or Android rather than Windows or Mac. Just like the Android app WhitePawn developed by Khadim Fall from Germany. You just connect the board to a mobile phone on the go - anytime, anywhere and it just works. If anyone can do that for the iPhone I would even pay for it!

I agree with this. I did email the developer of AcidApe to ask if they will add support for Chess.com and got a rather rude series of responses so I don't think it will happen.

I'm happy to help to with this project, just need to get a dgt smart board  I'm not seeing any recent contributions to the project, but will fork if needed (after I get a board).

Sophia, Press right button on app DGT for Chess.com in applications, choose open in de options, and it works

I don't know why but it doesn't work. I connected correctly my Bluetooth dgt. but it seems unavailable. Why? I have Monterey 12.5

Anyone had luck with this recently? Currently holding off on pulling the trigger on one since I only have access to a MBA.

Do anyone know if this a Universal Binary for the newer Apple Silicone machines?

@amitassaraf1 any chance you could port this to Windows? The main reason being, there is currently no way to play Bots on chess.com with the DGT board (based on my research). To me, if you could play bots on chess.com with a DGT board (without a Mac), then my life is complete thanks

Struggling with this now. 

bluetooth sees the dgt and connects the device

livechess sees the device as a port but will not connect. ( port failure error ). 

chessconnect is pointed at dgt bluetooth but doesnt see it

cannot connect the board thus no joy in lichess or chess.com

works as guided on windows 11 machine i borrowed.

how do i make the serial connection available so it allows the board to be used in mac ?

macbook pro 2019, beast config. Latest OS all patched/updated.
