Hey All,

I saw the new trend in mousepad chess boards and wanted to amp the designs up.  Here are a couple of new designs on my website:  www.amchesseq.com

I think you succeeded, Shelby. My favorite is the walnut one on the top.

Shelby - I just ordered the blue mousepad for $8.95.  Also the 2 inch squares walnut and maple board which you have on sale for $49.95.  Thank you.

Wow, it looks awesome. I am gonna order one :)

They do look nice and I tried to order one. Postage to Canada on a $4.50 item is $25. it's $28 for one of these boards. So much for that. happy.png

"MousePad chess boards extend the life of your weighted chess sets.  With vinyl chess boards it is as if you are banging the pieces on the tabletop.  These boards offer a cushion to keep the weights from loosening up."

I found this to be an interesting product benefit claim.  I don't doubt that slamming chess pieces down on a hard surface might well loosen the weights, but I would think that that unhappy occurrence is probably more a function of the age of the chess pieces or poor construction rather than the hardness of the playing surface.

Analysis size vinyl board is made everywhere. But no one make silicone or mouse pad analysis size board. Hmm...

These boards, along with the ones Glen Butterman has made and sells, are not your typical mousepad board, not at all.

1. The backing is 1/16" instead of 1/8", making it so these boards can be folded and scrunched up like a silicone board can.

2. The surface has no cotton in it and is all polyester.  This makes it so the pieces will not stick to the board and will slide easily on the material.

Nice, but I'll hold out for green squares.

I think these are great. You guys should set up booths at some of the bigger tournaments like the world open. I think people would be interested in them.
