newbie to Arena GUI - how to view results of a tournament?

In Arena 3.5.1, how can you view the results of a CPU tournament broken down by how each player performed as *white* and *black* ?

I've never needed this white and black information before. I played around for a few minutes, and I wasn't able to get this information from Arena, either. I suspect you can't.

Probably the easiest solution would be to install Scid vs. PC, then load the PGN database into that program. Scroll through the games until the player you're interested in shows up in a game. Then click on "Tools --> Player Information", and pick either White or Black, as applicable.

I don't believe Arena supports this.  You can find out the total number of white and black wins for a tournament, but not broken out by each participant.

In your case, there should be a PGN file named result.pgn in your Arena "Tournaments" folder.  Open this file with Arena from the PGN menu.  Then run ELOstat - it's a button at the bottom of the PGN list.  A tabbed report will be generated with additional information.  Under the "General.dat" tab you will find informations re. wins by color - but not broken out by engine.
