Haven't seen a diagram of the serial port of the citrine. However, Arena users seems to be using 9 pin serial to usb adapters with good results. They just have to make sure that the protocol used is 57600 baud, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no parity, and no flow control.

Thank rayb808. I actually already have a serial to usb converter. My problem is that I don't have the original Citrine serial cable, so I have no way of connecting at the Citrine end :-(
I have since discovered that other Novag's also supported serial communications. I've ordered some parts (RJ12 cables and connectors) and hopefully by next weekend I'll have a working cable. Will post results.
Did you get a cable, or make one yourself? I have the same problem you did - no serial cable for connecting the Citrine to my PC.
