For all those of you who wanted to see my displays - here they are. I am almost exclusively collecting antique sets. The first display case is hosting most of my ivory and bone collection, in the second one I am displaying my wooden antiques and the third one is hosting my porcelain, metal and figural chess sets. The rest of my collection is stored in drawers and boxes, including an assortment of timers in addition to the few clocks tucked between the chess sets in the display cases.
Absolutely jaw dropping!
Thanks for giving me enough ammunition to convince the wife that I don't have enough sets.
Btw,I see you pretty much never lose either....Must be something in the water where you live.-

@magictwanger I am not a good player at all. My main interest is in the material and the history, not so much in the game itself. But these few games I played were mostly against my 12 yo sons, who are total beginners or against friends who just started playing. It would have been more difficult to lose against them. But they are much better than me at other things (football, swimming etc.) so it was just fair.
Wow G47...That must have taken quite some time. Beautiful sets...I'm speechless. (inserts bowing emoji)
