Its a good book! I think you MUST buy it. This is how you should read Silman's book (recommended order of reading): 1. Reasses your chess, till 59 page, 4th edition 2. Amateur's Mind, completely 3. Reasses your chess, continue from page 60 till end. 4. Now try the Reasses your chess Workbook
Reassess Your Chess, 4th Edition
"... while writing in a lively style, [Silman] finds typical and therefore instructive examples. A reader who is given something to focus on in a position, and is directed to its interesting features and challenges, will inevitably absorb a great deal of the kind of knowledge Hendriks himself values, namely pattern recognition and familiarity with the moves that 'go' with a position." - IM John Watson (2013)
"Jeremy Silman's How to Reassess Your Chess is an example of a good book which explains many important ideas in clear terms. ..." - GM John Nunn (2006)
"... Jeremy Silman's excellent book How to Reassess Your Chess ... his other similar great work, The Amateur's Mind ... " - Dan Heisman (2001)
Dan Heisman DID indicate that the books would be too advanced for some.

What about the size of the diagrams and can you get the book to lie flat?

Are the diagrams in the book readable, because there were several complaints on the Amazon reviews about the diagrams?
Jeremy Silman, do some of your books in hardcover.

Just a suggestion- Never use free pirated versions of the books because these usually have defects. My friend from LA, USA had a soft pirated copy of My system which had literally INFINITE number of defects!
Its a good book and the diagrams are fine, you will probably be making the moves on a real chess board as you read it anyways.

And as ebook - please! You can make the diagrams as large or small as you want (more or less), and it lies very, very flat.

About this book, I have it, but it takes me a lot to set up the module. anyone knows if there is a pgn anywere?
Thanks

Oh! Do you mean Kindle or epub equivalent? Yes, you are right - the is available in that format and it does lie ever so flat.
However, when I wrote "ebook" I meant one of the interactive formats that allows the reader to play through moves, etc. That would be most welcome in the 21st century.

I bought the printed edition from Amazon, it's a very nice book and the diagrams are good. Each diagram is 4.5 X 4.5 cm.
Maybe it would be of interest to look at

This book will go down as a classic. I have the first edition that was printed by Thinkers Press (Bob Long). The 4th edition is very much expanded, bought that also.

@ylblai2 It would! Thanks.
The review reminds us that Jeremy Silman is no stranger to ebooks because e+chess has published his Complete Endgame Course in that format. That is excellent. I hope he considers doing this with Reassess Your Chess too.
On Amazon, several reviewers complained that the diagrams in this book are too small. I don't have the book, so I don't know the situation, but I would like to have it.
I looked at the kindle preview of the book and the diagrams were large and easily readable.
What do Chess.com members think about this book? Is it worth buying or should I get the kindle edition?
I have the Amateurs Mind by Silman and it was good for me.
