Well, I have done the same in your opinion. Do I also work for DGT? Or maybe Square Off?
REGIUM Automatic Chess E-board
Yes, and you seem work for DGT. You are very emotionally invested here because we have discovered that you are a scammer.
You're no fun anymore. It's too easy to push your buttons. I bet you are screaming at your computer screen right now.

When you attack me it's funny and when I answer you it's no fun anymore?... you are very funny. Anyway, you're right, I screamed when I saw the prices on your website.

Maybe, I don't know what you do in your life. That's my opinion because I try to find a reason for some malicious attacks and some ridiculous ones.
Another option is that you have had a complicated childhood and your nature is evil. Everything is possible (I'm kidding)
In any case, we are going back to the beginning of the conversation and this is going to become a wheel. So, better to leave it here, you have your opinion, and I have mine.
Agreed. Regium haven't done themselves any favours by not addressing reasonable/obvious questions in a timely fashion but I really hope this works as it would address the last flaw (?) in the eboard universe i.e. having to look at or listen to a computer in order to make your opponents moves. As you say time will tell.
You seem quite emotionally invested in this project, dear never-seen-before-on-these-fora Spanish friend ...
Yes, and you seem work for DGT. You are very emotionally invested here because we have discovered that you are a scammer. The price of your pieces is 500 EUROS! and we can find them here by 199 DOLLARS!

Please, don't cheat people.
LOL,
Those guys knock off his chess set design, and undercut Solvenia labor with cheaper Indian labor = He is the scammer!?
Whatever.

To discuss? I don't think so, this video is definitive, there is nothing more to discuss...
More than one will have to hide the head in a hole for a long time, before speaking again. It would be good to hear the rectifications of the most critical.
The way the first video was filmed with no hands in sight and also that it was just too good to be true it is understandable that people (including me) were skeptical. But I must say this new FAQ video answers a lot of my questions and is very convincing. I was considering a DGT board in the future but now I will most certainly wait how this plays out. Right pricing and integration into chess sites will be very important to get widely accepted. Man,... I really hope this will be done right.
There are for me a few outstanding questions, which I think may be addressed during the Kickstarter campaign if they are more interactive on that forum. Just in case you are reading Regium:
1 - Will an annotated version of the board be offered?
2 - Will a variety of styles of pieces be offered? I do not particularly care for the style they have chosen; I don’t find it unattractive, I just prefer a more classical Staunton sort of piece.
3 - Better yet, can I use pieces of my own choice by applying a supplied alteration kit? The latest video indicates that the board is able to identify the piece, making me think the methods us likely RFID. Part of the software development should include the capability for the end user to provide a set of pieces to which they have added the required device to the bottom of the pieces, and then can train the board to recognize the new set.
I have one other question, but it could easily derail the thread, so I’ll create a new thread for that one.

On the website they showcase two boards. The Regium Deluxe (what you see in the latest video) and the Regium Classic what is a standard wooden Staunton set comparible to what DGT sells. For me a classic Staunton set is the only option I would consider buying.

This second video from Regium is much better/far more natural than the first. I really hope they can complete this revolutionary project.
It would be very cool to see the board handling knight moves (between pieces?), castling and pawn promotion. I am genuinely looking forward to their next video.

Company is silent on their hardware technology which they state is completed and claims the kickstarter is primarily for software development. Intriguing opportunity with limited information.

Yes, and you seem work for DGT.
What makes you say that?
Some people in this forum look for reasons with very little weight to attack Regium. It seems that their intention is to criticize them, whatever they do.
