You may not be Kronsteen or MacAdams wink.png but I'll bet you've a beautiful Lardy set or two to share with us collectors!  I'll start with this 4 1/4 inch King "Reyjavik 1972" set.

I'm not a chess set fanatic, mostly because I'd say people generally creating them are aesthetically retarded.  This set, however, is very aesthetically consistent in its design and very pleasing.  I've never seen it before.

I've sort of been holding off to purchase a nice set for at-home study.  This might be a contender for the other design that caught my eye --"Jacques," I think it is called, but that might be the company.

Thanks, Milliern.  There are many fine sets by Lardy over the years.  These are available sometimes on ebay, but, alas, Lardy does not seem to make them any more.

Glad you asked. This was here when I got home today happy.png. A 4.5" plus King Monster lol. Also has the Reykjavik 1972 "Homage" stamp on the bottom. Even the Knights are 3.5" . It feels double weighted. I will get some better pics and compare the King to my Drueke #38 5" King after some Zzz's . G'Night -Ron  nullnullnullnullnullnull

Great to see transformation of the  knights Gents. I like the more aqualine look of the later snouts.

Right click these pics, select View Image, then click on them.  You'll get a huge pic.

A "standard" 3.75 in Lardy. I can never decide if this looks better on a 55mm or 50mm board. 53 mm would probably be ideal if such a beast existed. Love playing with this set even though it is nothing special but it just seems to be very easy to look at for long periods (perhaps due to the lack of shine so prevalent in modern indian reproductions?)

Here's a very rare bird--a German-made Lardy under license by Bohemia, lacquered red and ivory.

Lovely little Lardys on a roll-up wooden expedition board. Little Lardys suffer less Lardy lean.
