The Best Chess set!!!

I found this antique store that has the best chess boards and pieces.

I bought a set and can't be happier right now.

Are you sure these are antiques?

Why do they get the board the wrong way round every time? They must know the correct way for the board to go in order to get it wrong every single time.

In that "World War II" set, who is the Queen on the German side? I'd have expected Eva Braun but it doesn't look like her - and as far as I know she didn't dress up in uniform (may have done behind closed doors of course). And if you're going to have the King as Franklin Roosevelt I'd expect the Queen to be Elanor - but it looks like maybe Eisenhower is the Queen?

If your image gets flipped by your software, the right corner becomes the left corner and it looks like you set it up wrong.  It's happened to me posting online.  

Or, it could be they really did get it wrong.

Yes, if they are daft enough to post mirror images of their chess sets then that would indeed explain it.

I suspect that the real reason is that they neither know nor care which way the board goes, and that no-one who buys one of these sets would ever attempt to play chess with it.
