This limited edition official Championship chess set is being produced for the 2018 World Chess Championship Match which will take place in November of 2018. This is the only set approved as official by the World Chess Federation (FIDE).
The set was designed by internationally renowned Pentagram designer and architect Daniel Weil. The pieces are based on the proportions of classical Greek architecture and the classic Staunton design to make a set that is both distinctive and traditional. These chessmen had become the standard for tournament pieces.
An edition of 500, each set is individually numbered and signed by the Chief Arbiter of the Championship match.
