I think its a good plan you get pre orders, we get the discount, your company is 100% ethical I see no problems
I'm in as long as the pre production Ultimate sets are the same as the full blown Ultimate production sets. Count me in but will there be a limit? I'm slated to obtain 3 sets. If it is only a limited to a one per customer pre-production discount sale will I still be on the waitlist for the regular sales batch sets to obtain 2 more? I would be on board paying for a pre order of the sets. Like RussBell mentioned, I would like to know more information on how it would work once you figure out the details.

You, like many really want the set. As I have stated earlier...the wait list will supersede the wholesale customers this time because of the long wait on this product. In my mind, you are the ones buying the product at the end, so why make you wait?!?!!!

As for the order, We are getting 1500 sets in for the 1st batch. I know that won't last long, but even with all the enthusiasm about the set, that's all we are getting in. You'd be surprised on the mold charges on this one. I did have to try to stay in budget on this one.

I signed up on the waitlist over a year ago. If there was a release date and a store I bet we'd all be camping outside the store. Is there a go fund me page to donate towards the production costs? I would love to contribute whatever I can to help make this set happen.

Thanks Mr. Lohrman, the samples look impressive in size when compared to the originals. Loved the heft of the pawns and bishops before and even more so now with the bigger sizes of all the pieces. Shelby, will the new king's cross be fully attached to the top like it is in the new version sample or will it have that nice curve on the bottom of the cross like the old version?
Giving the king's cross base more material where it meets the head is a very good idea. This will definitely live up to it's namesake along with the larger pieces and heavier weighting as the "Ultimate Chess Set" when every aspect is approved and finalized. I love the idea of a bunch of chess fanatics camping out on lawn chairs in front of a chess shop all night waiting for the doors to open. I'm sure we'd all have our pocket sets out and would be having a great time. Sounds like more fun than the kids I sometimes see downtown waiting up late for the newest sneaker. :-)

That set is really shaping up to be something special. I love the look of it.
