1980s Soviet wooden chess set from Queen's Gambit final episode
Which Chess Set is used on the Netflix Series "The Queen's Gambit" ?

Yes, many of my links route through shareasale, not all. Here are the normal links:

I'm sure there are several similar boards around, but it looks like this:

Certainly not the kind of board you'd have seen together with that set in the USSR .
Thank you for this! This looks like the one!
I appreciate the links to these stores. I found the Etsy ones but not the others.
In case you're still looking, this one is VERY similar (pegboard, white vs. red): https://www.ebay.com/itm/Chess-Backgammon-Games-Set-Leather-Wood-Travel-case-United-Carr-Vintage/224238893689?hash=item3435adfa79:g:W98AAOSwLgNftK-R

@knoodlebug, Thanks! That is quite an interesting little set (good price, too) although it appears being in Canada means they don't have plans to ship here.
The key to the "Sovtet" sets is they appear to be designed to save the game as-is in place, close the lid, and carry-on. This is what really draws me to them.

Is this something you got custom made or was a repro by a manufacturer? I've seen lots of repros on etsy.com

My repro means that it is handmade by me close to original Latvian chess set pieces that I own. And yes, there are many reproductions on Etsy but not all of them are exactly reproductions, more often it is a loose interpretation.

@Retromaximum I have to say that you are very talented. I found this post from @Goodnightmike. https://www.chess.com/forum/view/chess-equipment/mikhail-tals-favorite-latvian-chess-set-circa-1950s Your reproduction looks very close to the one in this thread.

@Le_Barbier - beautiful set. Looks great and so does the board.
The more I see these sets (and play with mine) the more I am in love with them. Simple, sturdy, meant to play the game.
I believe I have found the exact set used in Queen's Gambit. It actually is not from a single set, but combined board with a different set of chess pieces. The rooks have no chisel. The pieces are narrow and slender around the middle. The queen and kings have off tops, the knight has a flat tapering top and minimalistic in design, the bishops also do not have tapering up at the tip, but are well rounded. Will share photos soon.

This is my closest to recreation of the set used in the show - thoughts?

Mine:
Very nice. I found a Mark of Westminster board that is the same as the one used on the TV series. The price on these Latvian sets has gone through the roof since the show aired. I wish they would have used a Windsor Castle or Drueke Player's Choice set in the earlier scenes.

I believe that is the old K-Mart after school chess set.
LOL, definitely did not cost like an after school chess set.

Yeah, I hear you - they could have sold these sets and had ridiculous profits. I wonder how many folks are bringing out their soviet chess sets now to sell. Etsy is full of them!
