This set is stunning. Thank you for the amazing photos!

What size board is recommended? 2.0"? 2.25"? What size squares is your board?

@ECKmasters - thanks for the pictures. I think that set is stunning. Beautiful. Different… yet classic and looks functional too. The rook, knight and bishop … the whole set is magnificent, I reckon.

Congrats! It looks good on your board. I really like the design of this set especially with the rooks and knights.

Looks great! Well-achieved by Mandeep & thanks to Jon Crumiller who shared all the vital info from his original antique set!

tired of that old set yet? I've got space on my shelf
I think that's the apex. I agree with each and every design detail on those.
Every piece is cool

I own the SC set and it's definitely one of my absolute favorites in my collection. So perfectly carved and finished.....Very elegantly styled.....I have been sent a picture of the one from C.B. and it looks like they did a nice job with it too......I far prefer S.C. only because I've had many issues with CB sets....but....that was a long time ago and they have also made me some very nice sets.

There are discounts available from both sellers....If you're interested and money is an issue (when isn't it these days...ha) I'd go for the best set to fit your pocketbook.

Good luck.....The design is a gem!

I bought one of these SC sets in natural boxwood/ebony recently and am very pleased - a well detailed copy of a unique design. Unlike the original sets it is also nicely weighted. I would be quite tempted to buy an original but they are about ten times the price!
