Affordable Chess Lessons from a 2400

Hi! I’m a Chess.com 2400 player (around 2000 FIDE) and I’ve been coaching chess for several years.

During that time, I’ve worked 1-on-1 with many online students and I also run a local chess academy for kids in my hometown. Because of that, I’m comfortable working with all ages and levels — from beginners to advanced players.

One thing coaching has taught me very clearly is this:

there’s no single “correct” way to improve at chess.

Every player struggles with different things.

That’s why I don’t use generic lessons. I work more as a mentor — we identify your weaknesses, goals, and playing style, and build a personalized improvement plan around that. Whether it’s openings, calculation, middlegame planning, positional understanding, or playing under pressure, we focus on what will help you the most.

I combine structured training materials used by top coaches with my own tournament and coaching experience. The goal is to make training practical, clear, and enjoyable — not overwhelming.

How lessons work

Lessons are held via Discord + Chess.com classrooms

I prepare each lesson in advance

Before every session, I ask what you want to work on

If you’re unsure, I’ll guide the direction and choose what’s most important

Lessons are very interactive — I ask a lot of questions and focus heavily on how you think during the game, not just what moves to play

I believe many players already know ideas, but struggle to apply them under real game conditions. Improving the thinking process is at the core of my coaching.

Rates

1 hour/week: 20€/hour

2 hours/week: 17€/hour

3+ hours/week: 15€/hour

Many of my students have made clear, measurable progress, and I’m happy to share proof in DMs if you’d like.
