Affordable lessons from titled player

Hello, I am József Mátyás Herpai, a chess coach and player with a FIDE rating of 2201, and I am looking for motivated students to work with at an affordable rate.

I was part of the winning team at the National High School Chess Team Olympiad, and I hold the world record for the highest FIDE rating gain within 20 months (July 2021 – March 2023).

Some of my best victories include wins against GM Alexander Rustemov, GM Francesco Sonis, and IM Matvey Galchenko.

I have worked with students of all levels and helped them prepare for major tournaments such as the European Championship and the Pan-American Championship. In my lessons, I teach each student what I believe will benefit them most, and I cover many different aspects of the game. For example, one of my students improved from around 1550 to 2000+ FIDE in just 1.5 years and is now leading his national blitz leaderboard in his age group.

I welcome motivated students of any level (beginner to 2000 FIDE). Lessons are held in English and tailored to your goals.
