The goal is to help beginners with this, it can be a good business if people are willing to learn

Not just about the money however, I find that personal lessons can help quite a bit more if you're that type of learner. I do believe there's a lot of benefit to having a personalized coach help with your OWN mistakes and issues, I think it can help speed up the learning process

Anybody watching this. You should not be paying $35-40 per hour from somebody who is 2100+ blitz. You should be wary for getting lessons from him since he does not mention anything about a OTB rating. Always verify with OTB rating. Don't get scammed!

I do not play much OTB you are correct, these are lessons for online. That is also not an american USD price it is Canadian much cheaper and well in the range of affordable, it's equivalent to a $25 USD/hour rate which is very fair considering my skill.

Having an OTB rating does not dictate whether or not a teacher is quality, their teaching and what they can offer does

A title does NOT make you a good coach, in fact most cannot relate to low level players. Besides, $10 likely means they aren't that quality, or they have barriers like different languages or other things

Nope don't believe him. Just because he only charges $10 an hour doesn't mean he can't be good. It could just be good enough for where he lives. And if he does have a title then he is way more likely to be a better coach than you are. Why would somebody over pay for you when they can get him?

I'm sorry but I can't just watch someone the same rating as me try to charge £40 an hour. Maybe I should try it as well 😂
