Pirate, no Danish player cares about that position, they'll play Nc3 or Kf1 equally at the drop of a hat. The Danish is a kitchen-sink attack, they don't care a wit about Bb4; they don't care about being two pawns down, or even a piece ,what they care about is the attack. They don't want lines that slow the game way down and prevent the chaos that Danish and Goring players feed on. A perfect example of what they don't want to see is the Schlechter, not because of the end game ,but because the game becomes this slow, delicate match because the Q's and bishop pairs are gone by move 10 and there is very little development at that point. The game slows way down as the pieces get brought out and there is much less chaos. The material is equal but this is not what real ( no bogus QGA) gambiteers want in an opening.

I didn't say that danish gambit players care about this position, they don't care if they are lost or not, just attacking. I was just saying b lack is doing very well in that position

The point is, Danish ( and their Scotch/Goring cousins ) are immune to criticism of gambits in general and their pet gambit in particular. In fact they and Latvian players don't seem to be bothered all that much if they lose, if in doing so attacking ideas were interesting or unusual...or if the game just looked like a drunken cavalry charge. Stockfish is irrelevant, the fish doesn't play, humans play, and players crap their pants in the face of the unexpected and bedlam on board.

Black is doing better

White is also doing fine after 7.Bc3.

And this is precisely the type of positions that I would not like to play as Black. I have to carefully try to catch up in development, while white has easy ways to press enough to justify his material investment.

You can find a few "flawless" correspondence games which go like that:

Stockfish saying its fine in a 2 pawns down position is meaningless without context. engines also think plenty of dead equal, drawish lines are “fine” for the side getting squeezed. In otb chess or even online for that matter, evaluation is fragile and collapses fast once Black plays the critical moves. And let’s be clear, Titles don’t make someone’s every take immune to criticism, especially on something as thoroughly analyzed and refuted as the Danish.

Played the blitz game just now https://www.chess.com/game/141867083624 against 2200 is player

That has to be the worst 2200 player I've seen in my life who is as clueless as it gets.

very fun gambit

you seem to have some obsession with this gambit and with spamming Gotham and Magnus videos like they are holy scripture. Newsflash: cherry picking casual games and Youtube content isn't proof of sound theory, it’s just fanboy fuel. If thats the depth of your analysis, no wonder you think the Danish is still dangerous

At all chess tournaments, a group of Carnyx's announce the start of any game wherein white plays the Danish Gambit.

I am just obsessed with how much people are drawn to posts on chess.com.

All of your last posts on this forum were insults, none fact.

First of all, @CockroachDolly has mentioned why SHE has an awkward name, with a good explanation.

Secondly, I'd like to mention that your prior posts we're only insulting to other players and never tried to defend or counteract the Danish gambit's claims.

Thirdly, your title as an IM means nothing in this situation. Everyone else here above 2500+ are people who have dedicated their lives to the game of chess. Don't try to use it as leverage.
