Krisztian is a fantastic chess coach. It's also a nice bonus that he's one of the nicest, most patient people you'll ever encounter. I only seriously started playing chess a few months ago and he has greatly improved my abilities in a very short amount of time. He has a great teaching style and uses a variety of online tools to help with learning. One of the things I like best about learning from Krisztian is that he often shares tactics that are not commonly used by other players. I can't recommend learning from Krisztian enough. I think he can help anyone get better at chess, regardless of current rating, and also have fun with the lessons.

I have taken lessons from Krisztian for almost a year. Not only have I seen my rating improve significantly, but my enjoyment in playing chess has greatly increased. Krisztian is extremely encouraging in the teaching process, and he also uses a variety of tools and methods to help you learn. One of my greatest needs has been to improve my openings, and this is the area where I have seen the most growth. Krisztian has provided step by step guidance in openings along with explaining the underlying logic. I have looked forward to each lesson with him, as I am able to learn and grow each time. He is a delight to work with and his explanations and insights are incredibly helpful.
Krisztian is a highly knowledgeable GM, with effective opening theory. He is not only a sharp and really strong GM, but an exceptional teacher too. After our classes, I was able to detect my weaknesses and improve my knowledge. Highly recommended 🙂

I only had a couple of sessions with GM Krisztian Szabo due to unforeseen circumstances, but he was always approachable and very flexible with communication and arranging lessons. He is very clear in his presentation, which he delivers in a friendly and cheerful way. I would highly recommend him to anyone interested in improving their chess.
