Hello everyone!

I would like to welcome you to call me to see if I can help you with your chess. Essentially, I invite you to have a phone consultation with me should you be interested. We can talk about where you are at the moment, and where you would like to be. In other words, your goals in chess and what will keep you moving forward.

I am very affordable, working for $25 an hour. The way payment works is that we do 10 hours at a time, so every working agreement between you and I, the coach and the student lasts for 10 sessions. We can work on a specific day of the week, specific time, etcetera should it work for the both of us every week.

Here is how the payment plans work:

10 hours for $25 an hour ($250)

20 hours for $20 an hour ($400)

30 hours for $15 an hour ($450)

How can I help you?

well for the most part, I can share my wealth of knowledge of chess with you. I grew up at a chess club with many IM's, GM's, and masters where a lot of information was shared on how to improve. I have been in chess for over 20 years now, reading online, literature, watching videos etc. I also worked with every major chess grandmaster of the United States when I worked for chess.com as their video guy. I recorded every chess.com video lecture with the presenters for two years straight. I also went from chess club talent, to expert in chess (2000 rating) then to master in chess (2200 rating) then to FIDE Master (2300 rating). I can share with you how to do that on your own.

  1. I can teach you how to become a more principled player in chess ( think fundamentals)
  2. I can teach you how to master endgame strategy
  3. I can teach you how to master endgame theory
  4. I can show you how to create an opening repertoire using tools and software
  5. I can show you how to create model games in your opening repertoire (think games that teach you how to win in the middlegames of your openings)
  6. I can show you how to stay immersed in the subject of chess to always be improving
  7. I can reference literature to you so you can read the best of the best
  8. I can reference chess DVD's for you so you can view the best of the best
  9. I can show you where to get memberships online for nominal fees to be exposed to the best content
  10. I can analyze your games and find your weaknesses and more importantly patterns
  11. I can show you many ways to become a GM on your own (think things you can do on a weekly basis to make it to GM strength)

All our lessons will be conducted using skype, and we will be doing screen sharing from chess.com, chessbase, rybka aquarium, or any other tool I might use.

I can be your coach, we can work for a long time and I can help you improve. I will share my knowledge with you.

Here are some short term goals for everyone:

reaching 2000 rating USCF or chess.com (Expert rating)

reaching 2200 rating USCF or chess.com ( Master rating)

beyond 2200. at this point, you can work on your own, I can show you how by using tools, like software, videos and books to reach higher levels in chess, for instance an International Master title, or a Grandmaster title.

Personally from me, I coach on my free time, and now I am getting into writing books. I would like to become a Dan Heisman, Carsten Hansen, or Eric Schiller. If you know who they are you would understand. They are all chess authors who coach chess.

I dont need many students, but would welcome working with people to make new friends, better connections, and hopefully become good pals after I have helped you excel.

I will be using all these funds to further my development in chess by participating in 9 round tournaments which will entitle me to more rating points, and opportunities for IM and GM norms.

If you would like to connect through phone to get a consultation going tell me a little bit about you on a chess.com message and share your information and I would be happy to call.

Thanks,

FM Charles Galofre
