Am a New Zealand based professional chess coach - coaching via Zoom.

Accredited and licensed through FIDE - FIDE Instructor.

45 + years playing experience.

10 + years coaching experience.

My philosophy is - Positive chess, backed by strong chess fundamentals, logical thinking, and problem- solving strategies.

Building confidence, improving logical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Developing the ability to concentrate and focus.

 Reaching potential and achieving goals.

 Encouraging healthy competition.

 Making friends and having fun.

Because this is not where I play regularly, I play mostly OTB and occasionally on other chess servers.

He's over 45, so it's very clear that age might have affected his play. Also I don't really buy it that you need to be very strong player to teach effectively. What matters is that you know the concepts yourself, and you are very good at explaining things. I think that you should show your FIDE instructor license as a proof so that nobody can talk bad about you.
