I peaked at 2190 rapid on chess.com, which is top 4000 in the world. I would consider myself a positional player, but I am definitely more than proficient at tactics for my level. My main repertoire is the Queen's Gambit/Trompowsky as white, and Caro/Slav system as black.

I have numerous opening courses on different sites that I can use to help guide you in your opening studies, and am willing to do game analysis and puzzles on a live session. My biggest strength as a player is my endgame knowledge - I frequently win drawish endgames against players of many levels, so much so that I sometimes forgo a good move just to trade queens (one of my worse weaknesses). I could comfortably coach anyone in the range of 600-1800, and anyone 1800+ I would be happy to be a training/analysis partner for, or a help with openings.

I currently am rated 1544 USCF, but am very underrated. The area where I live doesn't have many tournaments, and many people gained in strength over the pandemic (and I started playing). I have played in ~10-15 OTB tourneys, winning one (scoring 4/4 against 1400s) and had a couple decent performance ratings of around 1800. (My most recent tournament I beat a 1930, an 1870, and should have continued the streak against a 1950 but blundered under time pressure)

However, I am much better online and truly think I could be a good coach. I have coached a few students on and off, including one, @4rc2rus, who I helped reach 1400 chess.com rapid from around the 800 range.

A lesson would typically be around an hour, though longer or shorter lessons could be worked out. My rate is 12 dollars an hour, paid through Venmo or PayPal. Discounted hourly rates can be discussed for block purchasing (ie 10 hours of coaching for 100 dollars)
