Oh my god, it was like the endgame that wouldn't die. Yeah white should win, but vs the engine it's not easy (at least for me).
It's a win because white has a maximum of 3 attackers to pressure a pawn (king, knight, and bishop) while black has a maximum of 2 defenders. So white should be able to win some pawns at some moment in some way. Other than the hints it gives, you generally want to keep your pawns on dark squares and force the opponent's pawns on light squares... why? Because without the bishop helping to attack you don't have the 3 vs 2 advantage.
Here was my first and 2nd attempts where I drew, and then a 3rd where I win.
Ok, so learning from those mistakes (like moving the kingside pawns) I try again.
I've tried this drill over and over and over again. I haven't once won with the Bishop, Knight. I do not understand this drill. What am I looking for to force a win?
