The ratings of chess mentor positions do not appear to fluctuate and seem to always end in 00, i.e. they're always multiples of 100. Many positions appear widely overrated. For example, this position has a 2300 rating despite there being only two ways to defend an attacked pawn, with one option being clearly better. Do they really just let the teacher set the rating and then never change it? Other threads complain about rating inflation, but if the position ratings do not change based on who can solve the position then it's not just the scale that's off, the relative rating/ranking of the positions if also off.
