Weak Color Complexes Explained, incorrect solutions

Hi IM Pruess,
I quit the course after lesson 5, after I droped 13 rating points with correct moves according to Houdini.

See for my quick analysis with Houdini, the attached pgn.
I gave 3 correct moves according to Houdini (better or equal to your solution), but "incorrect" according to the course and droped 13 rating points: 2.Qd5, 3.Bd5 (best according to Houdini, but "incorrect" in your course) and 3.Qd2.
That´s no fun at all and rather demotivating! Sorry, but in this way the whole approach makes no sense.

I followed your moves, it all looks correct to me, whats up with losing points??

I feel your pain!  I have followed Mentor 'hints' and been led astray, then lost up to 13 points for one wrong move. Whereas when I do exactly the right moves, I gfain only 1 or 2 points!

Often, I find a correct solution, but lose points anyway because it's not the 'right' solution. Or they say 'this move is fine, but we're looking for a different one" If it's 'fine' it shouldn't lose points!

There needs to be a comment section on each Mentor Lesson!
